There is a Kawasaki 1973 H2 750 Dunstall listed on ebay ,the owner claims he has history on the bike being built with Dunstall parts, but I have never seen any Dunstall parts that looked that good. Even the rear sets seem nicer than Dunstall stuff. However there are little "D"s cast into them that seem to be similar to a Dunstall logo. By the 70's the Japanese bike Dunstall stuff was just body covers and ungainly fairings, unless there is something I have not seen. Anybody have late model Dunstall info?

I bought my Norton in 1973 from an authorized Dunstall dealer in South Florida. Made two trips to Daytona with them and helped with display bikes and parts at the dealer shows. The tank on this bike looks similar to Dunstall offerings, although nothing specific was made for 3-cylinder Kawasakis. Most of the Dunstall tanks were Fastback knock-offs with slightly crisper lines. The tail section and rearsets do not look like anything I ever saw from Dunstall. I still have some Dunstall grips and peg rubbers and those are definitely not them. If Dunstall had anything to do with the non-stock stuff on this bike, it would have been a marketing thing late in his motorcycle aftermarket career.

Thanks for the info . I think the owner has embellished his description a little. I have been in contact with him and without so many words he has admitted the fact that he does not have any information or paperwork supporting Dunstall connections. I guess its a tribute built bike , done pretty good, a Dunstall replica!

I wouldn't dismiss it without googling it and checking some Kawi forums first.
I could find no information anywhere, showing this build. All the mid 70's Dunstall stuff I found , made for Japanese bikes were just body covers, real crude rearsets and gross fairings. Couldn't get fiberglass fuel tanks approved any more by that time so the just made some funky tanks covers instead.

I frequent 4 or 5 Kawasaki forums and most of those guys wouldn't know who you were talking about if you mentioned Paul Dunstall. The Dunstall dealer I mentioned also sold Read-Titan items and two of my long-time friends' cafe 750 H2s were thusly modded with Read-Titan fiberglass, Tomaselli clip-ons and levers and some other brand of rearsets. No Dunstall mods were available for H2s.

I saw some rearsets on that list. Everything else was a generic-fit item. No specific tanks, seats or fairings. Would a set of Dunstall rearsets on my Commando qualify it as a Dunstall Norton?
