Hi folks,

I have been a long-time reader, but this is my first post on this site.

I have just recently (as in yesterday) purchased a 2013 yellow bi-posto Norton commando 961 Sport (is brand new but non-current). You may have seen it on previous posts as it was the show bike used for promotional purposes.

I previously had a deposit on a 961 café racer but was one of the folks that after waiting for over a year asked for my deposit back.

Anyway, I am very excited about this new bike (previous bikes have been Ducati (2), Harley (2), Buell (1) and a Triumph.

My wife thinks that I am out of my mind as in Saskatchewan there are no dealers and I am not exactally what you would call "handy" or frankly "mechanical" .... but - passion for this beauty won out over practicality.

All the best !

Crazy or not, we are all excited for you, man! I hesitated for a long time, myself. Ultimately I caved into my lustful craving just like you.

Good luck to you! :D

I am 99% sure this is your bike. Congrats. I've seen that bike. It's very nice. And you may have a pleasant surprise when you look at the build date being 2014. The Color is Extra Rare, the build date and year being the way it is will make it Extra, Extra Rare.

Thanks for the great pictures ! That is indeed the bike I purchased from Newmarket Suzuki. As someone who has never actually had the opportunity to see one of these bikes "in person" its a bit of a leap of faith, but I am super excited none the less. Thanks so much for the nice comments everyone .... I keep waiting to see if the "manx" lady will appear (fingers crossed) :)

message me your email address (or post it here and then delete it later) and I'll send you some workshop manuals I created. The bike is super easy to maintain and only requires a handful of special tools. You're gonna love it!!!! Good choice. Peter is great and wont let you down. Our bikes were made and delivered at the time time and mine has been trouble free.

Congratulations. That yellow sport is to die for. We can't get yellow in the states....yet. If that is the bike in the photo, I'm sure its been well sorted and cared for, given its prior company. Have a great time. Seeing what you're other current or past bikes are, I'm sure you're going to love it. Its got the thump you're used to.

You ARE out of your mind. That's what owning a Norton so great. Non conformist. 8)

Hi Richard,
I have also seen the bike still posted on Kijiji - this is odd as the bike is paid in full and I just received a call from the shipper that the bike has finally arrived in Sask. I will post photos of the crate / bike soon. It is a bit odd that Norton is still advertising the bike ? Hopefully the crate has an actual bike in it :D

Great news then. Post pics when you get it. Pretty sure thats the first yellow bike in North America. What serial number is it? My dads Red bike is 005. Fifth bike in Canada first red bike. We know Tim with 001. I think the yellow bike was with mine in the shipping container. 2014.
