Back on topic, it has been quite some time since JC has posted anything. He was a major source of
hard cold fact here hope he hasn't lost interest or worse isn't well.

I sincerely don't think he has lost interest. But I can certainly see something else may have got his attention just dealing with life as it is today.

In the end he has to eat, and deal with other priorities as he sees them. My guess is a forum isn't too far up that list right now, whereas some of us, certainly including me, have more time than we need.

I could care less if he posts on the forum, but he hasn't replied to any of my numerous emails or phone calls in the last 5 months and has a critical piece of my engine. I would even be fine if he said he doesn't want the work and I will pick it back up.

A cylinder head for a mark 1 850. If I have to buy another one I will but that’s not a cheap thing to do. I really appreciate the offer though, but I’m sure that’s not what you had in mind!

I have all 750 stuff .
but I do know someone on this site that may have one , if you need to , I can give you the contact.
pits too bad you cannot get a response.
I I am having a head done now .
someone suggested I send to this jim guy.
I found a good shop here in town to do my head and cylinders.
I think there are many good machine shops across the country that are very capable to these typical machine jobs.
you just need to search out the good shops.

I spoke with Jim this morning. He said he was incredibly backed up and has 50 cylinder heads in queue. Promised he was getting caught up and would have the head for me finished up in a month.

I glad he is going ok, and am quite eager to get back to work on the old Norton once the head arrives.

Two places I spoke to this week about doing work for me told me they are busy. So it seems to me that the virus has not caused our area of interest to be without trade!
Very glad to hear JC is still at it.

Mr C is a total legend worldwide and that in itself can become a double edged sword.
The guy does not get enough kudos for his decades of hands on contribution to the community and never saw any posts regarding Condo's in the Bahamas's .

That dude is a rare breed these days and is one of the few people to send me exactly what I payed for, skills included.

315 miles apart.
In Colorado, that seems quite close to me!

I drove from Tulsa to Colorado Springs once, for an Englishman used to the South East, that was a long way for me! 700 miles! But that is nothing to you guys.

West out of Tulsa until you hit I35 going North, turn left at Kansas City onto US40 West..... I think you pass Dorothy's House and the land of Oz on the way!

Not so long back Jim told me Webcam weren't working due to Covid. Hopefully they have started up again or will soon!

Last time I asked him about the lifters and cam was April of 2020 and he did tell me they were not shipping anything out, last time I talked to him was July of 2020.
