To finish this thread off.....I'm home. Bike worked perfectly the entire trip and my clutch work (see earlier in this thread!) was a success. Not going to lie, when I joined the motorway and wound up the revs, and held it there for 3 hours, I was nervous but it was all good. Put in 1.1k miles throughout the week with a run over the mountain to top it off.

Touring/big miles on it weren't as bad as I thought TBH. I think I could push 350-400 in a day if I had too. Maybe more. It wasn't great, I'm not saying it was a tourer....but better than the sportbikes I've taken in the past.

Only thing it needed was fuel and some chain lube. Was making a weird noise so I lubed the chain after a few days and it went away. Another thing to note, the Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp (retro things) are hideous in the wet. Like...awful. Wouldn't even go in a straight line - genuinely shocking.

The bike/tank combo was a real head turner with lots of admirers/photos when it was parked up and as many thumbs up when moving. So that was cool!

Anyway, if you want to see some pics.....
