Is this frame worth saving?

A bit rare as Kenny Dreer was buying up a lot of them to convert to oil in frame for th VR880 years ago.

Is this Puccio Welding close to San Jose airport? I had a featherbed frame down there at the suggestion of Phil and Ken Armann.

yes - their doing work on some stuff for me now - know their stuff and reasonable priced!

I think the frame is worth saving. I think any good weld shop can patch that up at the same time you have them do the sidestand mount lug upgrade.
If worse comes to worse, that tag with the vin and build number should be spared at all costs and applied to the replacement. I assume that the tag has a matching title?

This shop looks perfect! Know anything about therm? Thanks!!!
I took my frame and swing arm there this year and it was repaired for $550. Compared to what Norton parts cost this was a steal.
It was so out of whack and tweaked when I brought it in and yes, they will check it out for free. They'll tell you up front how much it will cost by telling you "it won't cost anymore than this". So no surprises.
They are a cash only business, no cards or checks but they know what they are doing and have all the equipment to make it right.
I'd do it.

I believe CNW has bought way more frames than Kenny ever did. They have a jig for checking them, if its bent they find another one. Pretty sure Matt has a barn full of Cdo frames that he'll be straightening someday. Job security!

It is a quick welding job and you can download the template to give the correct angle from the internet, I would pay less then $50 for the sidestand repair here in HK.

Frame checking/straightening is a different issue, if you bought a replacement for a few hundred dollars you would still have something unknown and would be advised to check it for straightness.
