Is there a seatbelt on CFMoto’s latest sportbike?
Late last year, I covered an apparent leaked patent filed by CFMoto for a seatbelt setup holding riders on motorcycles. It raised quite a few keen eyebrows in the motorcycle community, and for good reason. Now, it looks like the first-ever motorcycle with a seatbelt might be just around the corner.

I'm not clear on what the author is trying to provoke with this story. Maybe a lead in to attract the reader to the motorcycle itself.
The belt that in question appears to be, to me anyway, a simple hang on strap for who or what - ever. No hard material or protruding handles. Maybe just a handle strap to help a passenger stay centered and lean into the bike with the operator?
Why a loop instead of a single strap? Beats me, maybe a multi-use get creative offering? As the author notes quite accurately for those of us who have gone down a few times, no way am I attaching myself to the bike with any type of connector. Other than a seat and a couple of foot pegs.
Or maybe one could cinch it down to hold their raincoat in place?
