How is it possible that someone else (other than the author) can repost a thread when the Author deleted it before anyone even responded?

Only Jerry as administrator or myself as moderator should be able to do that and I haven't done so and there's no record of it in the moderator log over the last 7 days.

Easy answer, of which I am sure you aware. "Someone else" moderates this forum due to technical expertise in cyberspace.
Presumably, "the author" sells parts. Time to move on. Everyone has had their day in the court of public opinion.
