inner throttle cable too short

well I took the commando out for another short shakedown today it runs perfectly if I have to say so myself..but..the inner throttle cable is an issue have sudco 32MM mikuni kit all adjustments on cable and top of carb screwed to give max free play only their isn't any..at all..inner cable needs to be at least 1/4 longer to give some slack now throttle is like hair trigger....any suggestions for a cable?

While difficult, you can cut off some of the outer cable to effectively make the inner free length longer. I use a triangular file to cut the outer cable in one spot and then unwind the part to be removed. the hardest part is usually getting the cap to slide off the outer cable first so you can slide it back on after.

just fixed with delicate surgery using Dremel cutoff wheel and needle nose pliers thanks fo the tip
