Hi All,

Wndering if anyone in Aus has imported from the states as they are much cheaper there. Unfortunatly i have a limited bank account and the price of Nortons keeps increasing every year which makes it harder.

Anyone had dramas/problems or know reputable importers that could help out would be great.

Cheers

Hi Connie

Have sent you a PM about a contact here down your way.

Ashley

I had a very good experience with Ivan Smoljko of Bikes Abroad PL importing a Commando from the US to West Aust.

Website is www.bikesabroad.com.au

He handled the shipping, import and all associated paperwork without a hitch or surprise.

Greg Lawn at Central Motorcycles in Huntingdale, Melbourne imports a lot of good bikes from the US.

I imported a rickman cr750 a couple of years ago through geezers at the gold coast. Very good service and no hassels.

Hello Connie ,
You can do it yourself instead of going through a middle man .
Buy the bike yourself and contact a shipping agent who will handle all the process . You will just need import approval from Australian authorities . Type in " Dept of infrastructure and Regional development ", and follow the prompts .
I used Taurus Logistics as my shipper.
Good luck

With the dollar the way it is , you may lose alot of what you may save .

Thanks Everyone for your replies.

Im on a site called OODLES. Not going to purchase one without seeing it in the flesh first but is this site actaully legit.

Cheers

If the site is "OODLE", it is full of scam ads. Your best bet is probably the forum ads here. Those are real bikes and real owners. The prices are as reasonable as anywhere.
Alternatively eBay gives you buyer protection.

Glen

Of all the bike ads that I've looked into, on Oodle, not a single one has been legitimate.
IMO, the entire site is a setup for scam artists.
