Are there two types of rubber/plastic covers for the ignition switch? My 73 has the "master" switch and the new cover I bought will not go on all the way. Seems like it should be longer. The wires are nicely compacted and I even put some shrink wrap on to keep it clean but the cover just won't play nice. Only one # in my parts books. What's the deal? If there is another type of cover does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks for the help with my daily questions. Glenn.

The ignition switch cover is a two-piece deal - the back part is a PITA to get on, and just covers the tail end of the switch. The front part is also interesting to install, as it needs to fit onto the bracket on the airbox, then the switch is fitted into it, and finally the locknut screwed onto the cylinder.

Thank you BillT, you don't by chance know the part # or who might sell them? My parts books just have the shorter one part # 062061, Sounds like I have the wrong one OR am missing one the two pieces unless I'm reading you wrong. Thanks. P.S. Sorry for the double posting, don't know how it happened & can't deleat it..
