..............kind of:

I talked to a local guy whom I talked to about a year ago about this 68 "rolling basket case" that he has in his cellar. I talked to him today again and it's a deal! no $$ has been exchenged yet BUT that's just a formality.

I'm looking forward to building this up for my son.......

any sites similar to this one for BEEZERS?

That's great. I hope it was a good deal!

I think so: I'm checking it out in the next week or so. It's kind of full circle to me, since my very first 'real' bike was a 68 lightning....... it's going to be a project for my son

Izzitdat $500 one from CL? If so, it looks like a fine score! I was thinkin' about that one myself. If not, I will keep thinkin'!

actually, My son forwarded that ad to me and it got me thinking about a conversation I had with a guy on the cape who had a lightning as well....... So I called that guy and he still had the Beezer . so I asked him to put my name on it until I can get over there and hand him some doe.

It's amazing how many cellars, garages, and barns still have these relics in them.

that CL bike is probably long gone by now, given the relatively large numbers of big Brit Bike enthusiasts there are in New England.

I can easily find restorable Honda classics over here for cheap but I've yet to see anything British that was not rubbish for a fair price. I picked up a blue 75 Goldwing the other day for $500 but it seems like the old favorite British bikes go for a lot of bucks these days.

CL ad is still up, but the way I am, I will putter around long enough to decide to pull the trigger the day after it finally sells.

Which may not be a bad thing, given the number of projects I've got lined up already, mostly on the Norton but the others need a little love as well.

Good luck with your Beeza!
