Strange but at my 50th reunion Saturday an old riding buddy saw my 850 at the park BBQ and ask permission to sit on it... Commandos were pure magic when we were young. Anyway he sat there looking and fondling for 30 minutes. I believe she liked him too.

I'am 73 and still riding my nortons !! I have had five MK-3 have sold all but one and still have my 400 electra which I bought new in 1965 !! Just took a trip in 2019 to California with my girl friend on my Victory cross country tour racked up 5,006 miles !!

Poll has been pretty consistent as far as percentages, from the time it was still under 100 responses till now with over 250.

Most of us are in our 60s, and a good few in our 70s.

Nearly 66. I still have my MK 1 850 Roadster which is much modified (tastefully). Preparing it for sale. Gave up riding about 8 or 9 months ago. Don't have the strength or balance any more.
Sorry to hear it, but everyone has their time.

Whoever gets your bike will get a good 'un...

Very understandable. I hope you are not giving up on the forum. Us new guys depend on learning from people like you.

66 and thinking about selling the Maico 490. I got hurt a bit last time I rode it. I did a few low jumps and two days later the back went into spasm.
No plans to sell any road bike or to purchase any more.
Lots of big trips planned if Covid truly goes away.

I am 72 now and m/c is used at least 2-3 times a week. I am fortunate to live in a place where the roads are great and the climate nice enough to ride year round (with electric help). Not going as fast as I used to but am as happy as ever. I feel blessed!

74 next month - went out yesterday with a couple friends. rode 115 miles , and to be honest - that ride kicked my butt! i was OK around the 80-90 mile mark, but then, old age kicked in - :(

I prescribe 2 cups black coffee( dark roast) and 1 jelly donut..... 15 minute break and mount up.... Take another break within 30 miles to piss out coffee. If no relief a hammock nap under favorite shade tree whilst dreaming of more riding is most enjoyable.
