Ahhhhh!

That’s bad enough at any time, but as a reason for having to sell bikes, that’s badder !

My choice... I had two years to raise capital to buy half the house.. I'd had firm offers of £4k for the Norton (this was over 20 years ago) whereas the Honda might have made £800, so I did keep one bike :)

Why not start a new survey:
"How many wives have you had?"
I will definitely sympathize with the winner (loser?)

Being divorced twice was never in the plan when I started this journey!! LOL

But I am glad that, with both of my ex's, we were able to put our personal feelings aside and not destroy each other's lives as we did part ways. The first divorce did not even involve a lawyer! The second one did, as there were kids involved, but not until my ex and I had hammered out the separation agreement ourselves and were in agreement.

I found that the best approach going in was to be prepared to lose everything (except for yourself), and then anything you come out with is a bonus.

Advice I hope nobody has to use....

Got my first Duke from consignment sale , owner had several of his Ducati protected by consignment from his soon to be ex …. worked for me , although never like seeing folks split after giving their word ….

Funny how this thread has morphed into a marriage/divorce collateral damage poll!

Every thread a mystery tour... who knows where you'll end up! Thing is personal circumstances, as well as health issues, can also dictate whether we're still riding or not as we get older...
I do know some who married and stopped riding motorcycles altogether. (No smutty innuendo, please)

My ex wife first started with:
1) quit flying
Then it was:
2) quit riding that motorcycle
I did not totally quit, but drastically curtailed riding:
Next it became:
3) quit deer hunting
I just went to every other weekend
Then she filed and got rid of me .....
Best thing she ever did for me!

Aside from the legal fees, it only cost me my son whom she took 1500 miles away.

Slick
