My tube was unplugged when I got the bike. It never left an oil spot on the floor, however, I can see stains where a little oil would burn off the X pipe while riding. I've never had an oil in the airbox issue and my air filter still looks new with 5k on the bike. I now have a clear wider diameter tube there with a plug so I can visually monitor any oil draining, but with all the upgrades done, there is no build up. Oil is simply not making it to the air box.
