Hi all
I have a friend that was having a triton built by someone here in England but after some 12 months it has stalled out and we had to go and collect it over the weekend, will help him where I can but I have a lot on with my Norvin build he has a five speed gear cluster that he wants fitting in place of the four speed he has , can anyone talk me through what needs doing to complete this as I have never done this I do any machining that my be required.
Thanks in advance .
Bryan

There are several steps.

You must open up the drive gear aperture in the drive side outer case, open up the 1st gear aperture in the tranny inner cover to allow the gear's shoulder to abut the inner bearing race, fit the shifter knuckle from a 5-speed shifter onto the shift ratchet, and fit the 5-speed butterfly gear in place.

Opening the two apertures can be done by hand, as neither one is required to be a specifically sized hole.
