I need some help with my very basic computer skill by somebody that can give me dot-dot instructions..

As some of you may have noticed that uptill now there are 2 post in the "Smallest V12 engine" thread..

These 2 posts were found/originated on Youtube as most are. My question is how do i "capture" the screen for the start of the clip as the V12 as has been posted by Gerry..
I can "copy" the URL at real time ? (whatever that means) and post it into the thread and i get what you see for the V8 video..

I want to know which button to L-R/H click?? on the so that i can present a youtube clip the same way V12 is shown..

There are many other function on this PC that i need/want to know but old dogs need to be trained slowly and carefully..

I'm sure that many of you have not mastered your PC yet, and wish you could do those "simple" things that come naturally to some.. Hopefully some kind soul will help us out if you/we put your question in this thread.. We might be getting old but, we can still learn.....

Why not ask Jerry Doe for how he did it?
He does not bite - at least not on the internet.
I would like to know too!

OK, so I think what you are asking is how to embed the video in a post?

So, on the youtube video page, select 'Share', then 'copy' the 'Share' link and 'paste' that into your message in the usual way.

Swipe the link so it is highlighted, then click the 'video' button at the top of the message reply box, this should add video tags to the URL.

If done correctly when you select 'Preview' you should see the embedded video picture in your message, but if you still see a line of text, then try again.

Lesson one over today .... If you say there is a "video" button there to swipe. I suppose there must be !!! will look again tommorrow or after a beer tonight and it might be there !!!

6hrs later
I have had another look but cant see "video" .. The 2 highlighted youtu above, are the same and is what i see when viewing any ordinary youtube "video clip".. I have looked n looked but cant see a video button to affix my copied thingy..... is it called a URL??? and if so what does that stand for ?????????? GMF'd

The 'Share' link is the one you need to copy and paste......

....not the 'Embed' link.

I'm fairly sure all non-VIPs should see a [video] button above the message reply box along with [i] [u]
Code:
, etc. etc.?

Once the link has been pasted, you need to swipe it (not the video button) so it is highlighted, then click the 'video' button.

[ reply box along with
Code:
, ]

Definately havnt seen that... If you open what i have posted/linked??? as above, can you see [[B] [i] [u]] cos i can not...

Regardless whether VIP or not, what shows on utube has noting to do with ANorton...

??? Message reply box ??? i cant see that also , all i see is a "comments" box......... Obviously we have two different PC systems ????
I work/have with Google "Chrome"... Dont know whether that matters...

This is what I see on the Access Norton reply page using Google Chrome (as a non-VIP you may not see [album] or [Gallery]:

This is about as simple as I can make it using Chrome. If you go to Youtube and watch it at 'Cinema' or 'Full screen' size then you should see more detail.

An alternative would be to simply type the tags in at each end of the URL. To do so, type: [video] immediately preceding, and [/video] immediately after, the URL (including the brackets and leaving no spaces).

Always check using the 'Preview' button before posting (and that also applies when inserting photos or quotes etc.) because if it doesn't show correctly in 'Preview' then it won't be right when the message is posted (unless I happen to see it, and then I will often correct the error  ).

Very simple...Just tried and works perfectly...Thanks L.A.B.
