Hi all,

I'm at Mancos, CO where the INOA rally is happening as we speak. It's beautiful here.

Today's ride was 240 miles, much of it in the rain. Scenery was awesome but my gear is all soaked now. I hope it dries out for tomorrow.

We have wifi here at the campground and I have my netbook with me. I mainly brought it so I could follow the Tour de France, but I thought I'd check in and say hi. :D

cheers,
Debby

Sitting here wishing i was there, hope its all going well.
Would love to make the trip to an INOA rally, preferably with a bike - one day i hope.

Hi, Debby.

Any altitude problems?

It goes without saying but I'm going to say it anyway, be careful especially riding in the rain with its associated issues.

Thanks for posting Debby. I'm planning on attending my 1st Norton rally here in BC next year. I'm with the others here hoping to see some pics! Have fun and I hoe the weather clears up for you all!

Yesterday was some of the nastiest weather I've ever encountered. We met a guy in Silverton who had his truck window smashed out by fallling rocks. The road was slippery and muddy and visibility was awful. But after Silverton it got a lot better. We made it and today the weather was much nicer. I led the women's ride and we had a nice 100 mile ride with perfect weather and great roads. That's Colorado! I did get some photos today so I'll see if I can get them up later. This computer has a card reader so that should work.

all for now,
Debby

Hi Debbie,

Look in on some of my Northern California fellow members - Alan Goldwater, Tom Dabel, Liz Sain, Ian Reddy, Harry Bunting...should all be around there. Shot all my time off in the first half of this year with manditory furlows - lousy economy, but still have a job.

Well, the rally is all done now. It was a great one! Yesterday we had the concours and the pig roast and awards banquet. I got my bike cleaned up in the morning and put it in the show. When the dust settled, my 750 took second place in the 750 Roadster category! :D It's the first award for my bike and I was so excited! Good thingi I cleaned it up. ;)

I also got to meet Chuck Horton and his wife, and see his Combat special in the flesh. They're nice people and the bike looks pretty cool in person. It was fun seeing it in real life after following his build here on the forum all winter.

We're doing final cleanup then I'm out tomorrow morning. I'll get some photos posted as soon as I can.

It was a great rally! Two years in the making but it was all worth it.

Matt was pretty busy when I stopped by but I did see one of the heads. Looked pretty good to me! Better than anything the factory ever produced I'd say.

Ok, let's try posting some photos!

Here's our first stop on the big loop ride, Rico. It started hailing not long after I took this, but the sky was blue for a few minutes:

Bikes lined up at Rico, while we searched for the Poker Run stop:
