Hi guys,

After 1st service and couple of recalls/upgrades.

I now have a hard wired (always on) headlight.
Which....I don't like as bike is away from powerpoint for any battery tender so appreciate all the voltage/amps I can get when starting.

I opened the LH controls and nothing I can see there in way of pins or perm. wired contacts so must be somewhere else?

Any hints?

Or else might get an in line switch (12 amps?) somewhere.

Thanks for any help.

PS not legislated where I live for lights on always.

According to Simon Marshall (Norton UK) , the headlight turns off when the starter button is pressed and the motor cranking . Have you verified this ?

Don't know if it would work on a 961 but there is a clever solution at the link below that only requires two diodes and a relay...if the headlight is switched to high beam when the bike is powered up it remains off, once low beam is selected everything works normally. Installed this mod on a Ducati Monster and it worked great...

this is how I wired the Ducati so the wire colors may not be the same but shows the basic arrangement...
