This subject was kicking around here before and I thought at the time that I should post a photo of how I adapted it for a Commando.
The jack is quite well built for a Harbor Freight product but it comes with a cradle that must be designed for a Harley. I simply welded up a smaller version and built some adapters to enable anything in the way to clear. They're simply pipe cut in half, welded to a 3/8" grade 8 bolt. I glued some rubber from an old bicycle tube in them. Since the bike frame tapers I have two sets of hols in the cradle to be able to have the timing or primary side out.
I place it with one of the adapters nestled right up to the side stand bracket and it's nice and secure. If I remove a wheel I do have to ballast the bike which I do with a heavy steel plate and some mechanic's wire.
Anyway, I just let the bike down after some work and I finally remembered to snap a picture, shown with the monster cradle it comes with.
