I usually fly out to LA for he Hansen Dam ride but did not this year. The ride was officially cancelled but by the pictures many Nortons showed up. I was surprised no posts about it on this forum

I went. Hooked up with 3 others at Lucille's in Brea. I'm the lone Norton.
Greg says to me, I guess you'll set the pace. What are we going to run?
Tongue in cheek I say, just keep it under 90. I take off first and attempt to set the pace at 75...
Didn't last long, ran 80 -85. It's about 60 miles. Hooked up with the '59' club at the restaurant off
Osbourne and the 210. Coffee and breakfast, off to the site.
Having no idea what to expect with it being 'Officially' cancelled and the Angeles Crest being partially closed to the fires,
was very surprised to see the turnout. The upper section we are normally at was closed off, being used as Covid test site.
The gathering was in the lower section, on the dirt. We followed a Vincent in.
A lot of nice shiney machines sitting in the dirt / dust, a lot of them with no air filters, including that Vincent.
Pretty soon a lot of them are firing up, must be 10 am. They are headed up the canyon on the ride.
I realized I hadn't taken any pictures. So quickly went around and got some ones that interested me.

Nice Norton turnout. Thanks for posting them. I missed it this year because a hand injury is preventing me from riding, but probably would have stayed away anyhow because of COVID concerns. Hoping for better times next year.

I'm sure Glen would be happy the bike is on the road again and you are riding it. You have done a great job with it!!
