Great quote that somehow pertains

I came across this quote while reading a book on US presidents. It's attributed to Ronald Reagan and I thought that by substituting the words , Norton owner for economist, that it defines many of the discussions on this sight.
" An economist is someone who sees something happen in practice and wonders if it would work in theory."

This has nothing to do with Nortons but I couldn't help myself. Reagan's quote reminds me of Harry Truman 's quote "Send me a one-armed economist."
