I was lucky enough to have had the chance to show my Norton today at the Goodwood Road Race Club Annual Open Day. A wet 70 mile ride there messed up all my hard polishing efforts, but no matter, she still looked good. They gave me a great spot, right by the main house with a nice plaque to go with it. There were some fantastic cars on show; a real quality mix. The bike was in exhalted company; Lord March' s Ducati 888SP, a Laverda Jota and a most wonderful 1904 Humber, see pics, next to the Norton.
The reception from the members was great and I chatted with some really nice and interesting folk.
The ride back was wet and dry, the bike ran great, joined ton up club on her for the first time and got home safely. What a day.....
They don't put stuff like this in the brochure!

I've also managed to get an entry at Kop Hill Climb in September to run her up the hill. That's a great event that's got really popular, attracts class entries and is really hard to get in to, unless you've got a pre war car or bike. If any of you are free, it's worth checking out.
I just need to find the bottle to try a burnout.....hmmm.

Thanks Norton, for opening doors for me.
