What a fabulous weekend!

Congratulations Ray (Oldballz ?) on sweeping up trophies with your beautiful Commando and BSA. I just loved the Velocette Venom too.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet you.

737captain,

Tony it certainly was MY pleasure meeting you and your beautiful wife. I probably won't attend next years Gilmore Show after seeing the build pics of your Commando......nobody will stand a chance of garnering award in that class if you enter it!

Gilmore IMHO was somewhat disappointing due to the new regimes handling of it. The lack of 2nd and 3rd place "hard" trophies, which were replaced by paper "award" certificates was really cheap on their part. A lot of entrants that put their efforts and money into showing a nice bike should be recognized properly, as a little piece of hardware to a young builder would mean a tremendous amount. Previous events always had trophies for the top three in each class. I'm not complaining for my own efforts, even though they did misspell my name on my award  . But I did hear negative comments regarding this from other entrants, and one young 12 year old boy, that put his heart into his bike should have received a five buck plastic trophy instead of an 8.5x11 piece of paper for his efforts! And of course the Best In Class trophy had a V-Twin HD motor etched into the top of them....this is an antique motorcycle show not Sturgis!

Gilmore I hope you're reading this.........

Enough of my rant and congrats to my buddy Walt Branham for the awards he received in two classes for his BSA Alloy Clipper and his BSA A10 sidecar rig!

Ray (OldBalz)
