I have a bad case of arthritis in my left hand...middle finger does not bend without much pain. I have ordered a Atlas clutch actuator arm after asking DynoDave what I could do so I can go back to riding. Thanks Dave... it hasn’t arrived yet but I thought there maybe a clutch lever that maybe helpful in combination with the Atlas actuator arm mod.... part#...suppliers?
or maybe an automatic transmission

Arthritis in my left hand, cubital tunnel syndrome in my right. My left ring finger will lock up after an hour on the bike. Luckily the clutch is well behaved and the other fingers can pull the lever. But yeah, it sucks.

My Dr. said I spent too much time giving people the finger in my youth and have to pay my dues now. Thanks for the suggestions... going to try the Atlas arm first and go from there...

Marinatlas...do you know if it takes more movement with less pressure?

Going for the 1 finger clutch that I hear everybody talks about...

i would recommend rgms's clutch pushrod conversion and make sureyour clutch stack ofplates is within recommended limits

Yep, my left hand has been getting sore rather often after several months of hard work on the garage/hangar/shop. One day's work gets it sore, 2 days off relieves it somewhat...

Maybe you should get a Honda Trail 90. No clutch! I just happen to have one that I'm thinking about selling...

I haven't tried this myself (yet), but Ludwig uses a bicycle shifter cable for the clutch. The outer sheath on those is not a spiral coil but rather linear strands which make for a lighter and more precise setup.

coming up on 73. one knee replaced - the other overdue. arthritis and cubital tunnel in the hands. I've learned to live with most of it - my main concern, is I don't seem to have the balance while standing on my feet that I did in my 20's. doesn't seem to affect riding the bike other than trying to kick start while off the center stand. also, hard to dismount the bike unless i'm on the side stand. e-start and cNw easy pull clutch solved most problems. hopefully I can ride for a few more years.

Maybe someone could adapt the idea like the brake servo on modern cars. Vacuum assistance has been around for decades. Chevrolet had vacuum gear changes back in the 30's.

Yes and I would change the cluch cable as a matter of course.

I do not grasp how this reduces clutch pull. I understand how the needle roller reduces rotational friction, but it does nothing to reduce the clamp force ... i.e. the force that is required to push the pressure plate off the clutch stack. Am I missing something?

Has anyone actually installed one of these and can testify it reduces clutch pull?

A Venhill teflon lined cable will reduce pull .. I have one on my Atlas. Venhill claims 25% less pull, and I would estimate that as about right.

Slick

Please explain your theory of reducing clutch release effort by this kit.
Looks to be a warmed over Hemmings kit. I bought one 15-20 years ago and never used it

I fitted the kit a couple of years ago and it markedly improved clutch action which was why I suggested it tothe OP. It is not clear to me why I need a theory to do this. I bought my Commando brand new in 1972 and the clutch was an absolute pig. Despite using a hydraulic cable oiler and forcing oil through, no relief was obtained until I changed the cable . I wonder if the problem , then and subsequently was down to the outer or the inner cable. I noted that Japanese bikes seemed to be fitted with much more flexible inner cables
