I bled the front brake and it's better than it was before. Then I buttoned up the front end, tightening the axle, then the lower yoke (being sure to bounce it to get everything centered). Then the axle pinch bolt. I hope that's the right sequence.

Of course it was wetsumped, but I kicked it over a few times and the oil came out the breather. Then fired it up, keeping the revs low until the breather line was clear.

This meant a shakedown ride, of course.

It was a bit of a ride but it was completely uneventful. I was completely focused on the riding and a couple times I forgot to blink. Still I wasn't timid out there. And it felt great. :D

This is under the St. John's Bridge which some of you might remember from some of my riding videos.

I didn't check the front rim to see if it was bent, but there was no vibration or anything from the front wheel even at, ahem, "highway speed".

The riding season will be coming to a close in a while. If we're lucky maybe through October.Sometimes not even that long. We'll see.

I'm looking forward to the winter when I can finish the bike, get the fairing on and paint stuff. Of course with the clipons it probably won't make an ideal daily driver.

I forgot to mention that this mistake cost me a whole $50. That an inexpensive lesson considering.

If you need fork tubes straightened I'd recommend GP Suspensions. He might be a little cranky but I think they turned out fine. You saw how bad mine were bent, so unless they are creased they should straighten.

There seem to be two kinds of people that have been in a motorcycle accident. Those who won't or can't get back on a bike and those who can't wait. It's easy to see which one you are. Yer hopeless.

Good on ya swoosh, I imagine you will be hanging back a bit now, from the cars.
Gee the river looks to be well up, is that do to heavy rain or melting snow.?

Alrighty back at it even better than before, so was I today on Trixie, just none of us forget while being not-timid, the game resets immediately each second. There are two types of crashes, those you know what went wrong and those ya don't. I hardly ever repeat the first kind. We got our first hint of fall after dark today, so best riding season is on us now but need extra cover after sun down. Hairy [or shiny side] up to all's ya all.

I didn't hang back I just paid serious attention.

River is probably normal, that's what it looks like at that spot. No rain since I can remember, but some of the mountains are looking snowbare. Its weird when you see Mt. St. Helens (8,300 ft) with almost no snow.
