The problem when using chains without a cranked link where the drive was designed

with one is that it becomes very difficult if nigh on impossible to get the tension right

between the gearbox and the rear drive.


This is more of a problem in USA and OZ as the vast majority of chain is Jap and cranked

links are just not available.


Ask around for 10B-1 (most rears) and 08B-1 (most primary) and crank links then become

available....OK you will more than likely get sold crap but it will fit.


I have recently sold several chains to NZ where a few lads got together to reduce carriage

costs, in fact one said that even with the shipping the chain was cheaper and better than

he could source.
