There have been several threads on here related to sealing sectioned GRP tanks against attack by E fuels. This is something that is certainly possible but long term effectiveness is likely to be compromised through the use of unsuitable and untested DIY "tank sealing" products, whose failure over an extended period is very likely, when they are applied to a GRP tank fitted to a motorcycle.
However its very difficult to find proper industrial products, which if correctly applied will allow any GRP tank to work perfectly well with commonly available E fuels. This site is well worth a look if anyone is interested in doing the job of lining a sectioned tank properly: http://www.futuracoatings.com/product.aspx
The materials supplied by Futura will have been properly tested, and from a quick look at the MDS it seems as though several of those that they supply would be suitable for properly sealing fuel tanks, and there is possibly even something thats flexible, and would be fit for purpose.
This product seems ideal: http://www.futuracoatings.com/pdf/Pdf_917.pdf specifically the VE9300AR...........cost is obviously going to be a factor, but several people wanting to line GRP tanks could easily make this viable, and anything thats suitable for use in a gas flue scrubber is easily going to handle sealing a GRP bike tank!
Another product which is purpose designed for lining tanks: http://www.polyspec.com/Technology/Novo ... S-0705.pdf
The VE seems pretty much ideal for lining a sectioned tank, and there is a possibility that the Polyspec tank lining material, may be suitable as to use as a slosh coat in an existing tank.
