Fun Saturday Ride

I'm still breaking in the new Premiers. Some friends were heading out for a ride so I decided to take the 750. @Mike T came over but it was a bear to start in 60˚F weather. I may need to consider putting the chokes back in. It did start but I'm sure the warming up didn't make the neighbors like me much.

We headed over to our favorite motorcycle coffee shop to meet up with a coupe friends. After some socializing at formally unacceptable distances we headed out to a local lake. We spent a bit of time interrupting a triathlon at the lake. Afterwards we stopped at the Hotel Oregon in McMinnville. When I pulled up to park there was young couple and their kids sitting outside eating. She immediately starts taking pictures. Turns out her dad has a Dunstall 810 project. We might see it some day.

Bike ran really well. Laying over that tank while traversing the countyside is quite the experience. It also required three Advil when I got home.

Now to find where I put those chokes...

I didn't look at it yet, but thanks for giving me something to do.

If there's one thing I'm good at it's wasting people's time.
I love Mike and ONE's videos. They're the reason I got my Commando. I've managed to keep a 1950s car roadworthy for the last 12 years and I'd been toying with the idea of a classic bike in recent years. Mike's Rapide series got me over the line and when he described the Commando as his go to bike, it was a light bulb moment. They were THE bike with the reputation when I was a kid. Right decision. Bought in March, a few hundred miles of teething problems and now 1,000 trouble free summer miles with a smile on my face. Sadly, all my friends are modern bikes only, so mostly it's my private passion. Good to see a group on the Brit bikes in the videos.

Keep them coming!

@Mike T has had that influence on a lot of people. I'm glad you love your bike!
