Do you mean an adaptor from 1/4" BSP (the tank thread size) to 1/8" (BSP)?

The fuel tank thread is 1/4" BSP (0.5180" x 19 TPI)

1/8" BSP is 0.383" x 28 TPI although the internal thread of an "adaptor" might not be BSP.

All about language: American terminology no idea what the brits use
Only fastback tanks are 3/8BSPP but ALL fastback have 3/8 to 1/4 glued in adaptors.
therefore ALL late norton tanks, including fastback, use 1/4 BSPP petcocks.
Rethread means to "CHANGE" the thread
Chase means to clean up remove dirt or rust or old glue or sealer make like new
Like chaseing a person in the woods, you follow the SAME path (same thread pitch)
There is NO original 1/8 tank threads in norton
I chase all my british hardware to clean them up before I assemble parts

Only fastback tanks are 3/8BSPP
In UK we assume BSP is always parallel so do not add the second P and so just use BSP, for a tapered thread we add T to give BSPT.

Hence this help page in UK

https://www.ondemandsupplies.co.uk/...s-the-difference-between-bsp-and-bspt-thread/

But outside UK you instead see

Sorry, i would know the threadh of the fuel tap, the side that you screw into the tank.
Thank you.
