Frame repair

Can anyone recommend someone who can check my frame for straightness after my recent accident? I know that the lower section of the steering stop was sheared off the neck and that some welding will need to be done, also. Thank you in advance for any advice.

I see you are in Santa Cruz. I was over the hill in Cupertino until last year, was in the local Norton club there with Ken Armann.

I used Doctor Johns Frame Repair in Anaheim. I have three frames and I placed a straight edge on the top tube of each one to check straightness. All three were slightly tweaked at the head and the seat loop. Charged me $400 to straighten each one. He’s well respected in these parts.

Don't be afraid to look at a used frame. For insurance purposes see if they will spring for a new one (US$1200).
