In the shop manaul section F page 90 is a schematic of the frame with all the relevant angles measurement of the brackets etc.
These are difficult to accurately read. Doeas anyone have these on a sheet showing them all clearly?

Is this one from the MK3 Manual any clearer for you? It's quite clear in the actual manual. This is for the 850. Do you need the 750 dimensions also?

If that's not clear enough, pm me with your email address, and I'll send a higher res file.

I don't mean to interrupt the thread, please post the 750 frame .Thank you.

The link that Marinatlas posted is the 750 based on the frame steering head angle. (and non extended inside rear shock absorber mount plate combined) It shows no side stand lug oddly or not.

The picture lcrken posted is the 850 frame in general based on the different steering head angle.

This is the 750 frame dimensions drawing from the "1970 Onwards" service manual. It's not as clear as the 850 drawing, but not too bad. I's the same one as in the link Marinatlas posted. I scanned it directly from the manual, and that's as good as it gets.

For anyone interested, this is a clip from an NOC note some years back.

Almost every year the frame was changed-it went something like this:1968 First frame, gusseted, centre
stand an frame.
1969 Bracing tube added, Featherbed-type side stand. 1970 Centre stand tube strengthened (it still
twisted).
1971 Centre stand removed from frame--side stand on a peg held by the smallest circlip in the world (it
fell off).
1972 Side stand bolted on.
1973 Steering head angle (rake) change from 27 to 28° (yokes also changed). 1974 Reinforced G6771
rear loop-gusset as continuation of inside rear damper mounting.
1975 Epoxy paint standardized-previously a thin coat of vaguely black varnish covered the rust.

I don't know if this one of the 750 frame is any more readable. It was scanned from Service Release N.78.

Just ran accross this one for the 750 that I snagged somewhere on-line, maybe 5 or 6 years ago, with really clear dimensions.

Awesome. Thanks. The verticle dimension between the headsteady mount and the rear iso mount is missing on this one. It is also missing on the shop manual I have.

Thanks for posting these, Ken

For a 750 frame the critical item - for me at least - is the rear loop is shown parallel to the lower frame rails...

463.78 mm on my 850. (Isolastic centre/center to head steady rubber cushion mount thread)
The 750 should be the same but will check tomorrow if no one has answered beforehand.

The reason for no vertical measurement might be because it might vary due to welding of the upper tubes at manufacture.

I find the better datum point for Horizontal is the top of the plates the Z plates hang off, the bottom rails are thin walled tube and get knocked around a bit but those plates are much stronger and surrounded by bracing.

Are there any plan views ?.. all these only show side & end elevation. in the first post from Ircken posted it does show one if the rails?

Thank you Time Warp. I found the dimension I was looking for in the Haynes manual. Common to both frames, it is 285.77mm(11.25"). I should not have interrupted Olympus's thread sorry. Thanks for your help guys, Dave.

Page 91 of MK3 workshop manual has the full 3 views but the plan view is undimensioned and is of the 850 anyway.

Based on the horizontal posted that would be 462.35 mm
I see now one of the drawings has that vertical measurement so is within a mm of my 850 iso to buffer.
