Wow! I suddenly started getting hypertext markup in my posts.

<div class="bbWrapper"><blockquote class="bbCodeBlock bbCodeBlock--expandable bbCodeBlock--quote js-expandWatch"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-title"> <a href="/goto/post?id=534859" class="bbCodeBlock-sourceJump" rel="nofollow" data-xf-click="attribution" data-content-selector="#post-534859">worntorn said:</a> </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-content"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandContent js-expandContent "> Like finding cause of an intermittent misfire...on someone else's bike in another country. </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandLink js-expandLink"><a role="button" tabindex="0">Click to expand...</a></div> </div> </blockquote>After a bottle of wine. I dont give up easy though</div>

Exited twice, same result.

Yes that's due to me temporarily disabling some code as a test. It should be ok now

Hi Jerry, I hate to say this but it’s now 06:50 am GMT +2 and it’s worse than ever.

And shortly after I wrote that the problem slowly disappeared. Very strange.

I have just been away from home for a day and while away I accessed this site on my iPhone via mobile data, and no problem whatsoever.
Now back home, where cell coverage is poor, and accessing via wifi and it's back to slow or no response.

I'm helping to look into this issue with Jerry. I've made a few changes on the back end of the server so far this morning. I'm in the UK on Virgin Media Business ISP (500MB), and it loads instantly, until it doesn't! (That was on Chrome / Windows 10).

That does indicate a possible DNS issue, and I'm using Google's public resolvers rather than Virgin Media provided DNS.

I use cloudflare DNS, Win 10 Chrome, android chrome and the only issues I get are the with the local 4G network I use. I do get rare issues with Access Norton but get it with other sites at the same time so my issues are not site related.

I think that this issue might be resolved. Let me know if you see any more page freeze issues. Please test

Jerry

A big thanks to Matt Wothington for helping as well- Thank you Matt
I'm still having frequent long waits and time-outs on iMac Big Sur 11.4
My iPad (14.4.2) is okay
I prefer using my desk-top but this post took over 5 minutes and I had, after a "time out":

Page could not be loaded

Yes. We are still working on it actually. We have figured out what is causing it. That is a good thing. Now fixing it is not as easy.

Btw Rob, this is the same issue everyone else is having. Hope to get it nailed down today or tomorrow. It’s network related

Rob and others, please can you let me know if this issue is any better now?
The site is flying along for me.

Jerry

Ok, thanks Cliff. For a moment I thought it was ok. This is turning into a highly complex network issue. Now:

2 server admins are on it
Datacenter tech is involved
cPanel engineers are also involved

I will let you know again here when to check again, thanks

Jerry
