I stood at Handleys at the TT in 1989 as the bikes came off the mountain. Hislop went flying through on the RVF - he barely backed off the throttle for the corner ---jeez , then the two Nortons ridden by Nation and Cull came down together on the road, howling and spitting flame in unison. I can remember it as if it was yesterday.
