Flatless tires?

This video looks like it was shot in Greenpoint or Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. My old stomping grounds.
Anybody familiar with this stuff? Wonder how it affects the balance and weight / performance. Could be a good product. Maybe not.
 
Interesting product, but doesn't appear to have had much commercial success in the US. As far as I can tell, there's only one place in the US (in NY) that can process tires. It requires expensive machinery to apply, and has to be baked on, so no diy possibilities.

The company started a effort to raise funds at https://www.fundable.com/rhinotire but it appears to be dormant at the moment.
