Hey Dude, I got a wife in same room with me to view such
exposing prono views!

Got to be one of the sexy-est chassis of all time - especially
so specially finished and detailed.
Nice bright cradle will give highlight to other wise dark
contraption.

Knock your eyes out brake install too.
What's the sleek rear caliper?

hobot

It's a MK3 wheel with a Yamaha R6 caliper on a cut norton disk... The master cylinder/pedal is welded on the left hanger .
Philippe

All I can say is .....

I can't think of what to say, That is awfully nice!

You really ought to drill that rear disc.

prmurat - thanks for the caliper ID. I've got a big ole clunky R1
at this point. Don't need much grip on rear, I may have to
track a smaller one down, if it fits the brake axle hanger holes.

Did the tee-bone and crash tweak the frame itself to need attention?
I've only seen a few spoke rims damaged as bad as yours.

hobot - had enough deer side strikes, seriously considering
a Cdo side car just for staying upright factor, even if run into
ditch or fence.

Frame was a goner, you can see it on the tow truck... evilbay to the rescue for a good used frame ( still had it checked by the "Frame man" ) and a new red plate...as good as new! the shock was so strong that it cut one of the pipe, destroyed a coil and the oil line to the head ( & both gauges, fork, mufflers, tank etc). Maybe I should bought another one? BUT the engine has only 10000 miles after rebuilt by CNW and... it was not her fault (said my lovely wife!).
Philippe

Glad you lived and retained limbs to recover bike and ride again.
Glad you have understanding wife.
Ride Long and Prosper.

Paint will be in the JPN style: white with green and silver stripes. Thinking now of painting the fenders too...

Today the gearbox & engine went back in.

After more than 3 months, I have received the side covers from the painter or ..."how to make a 3 footers bike!!!!" the decals are bubbly and there are a couples of shadows in the white... pay cheap... get cheap!

I'm super excited to see the outcome of this bike!

Green powder coated frame and white, green and grey side panels... This is going to be a really unique Commando. Very cool.

Long time between any work done on the bike.... Working on the electricity right now....When will someone sell a complete ready made wire loom WITHOUT all the Interpol extra wires??? Added to that the voltage LED and a left handlebar switch from a Yamaha and it's days just staring at a colored spaguetti mess! CNW's front fender shows more space in the front than the rear (to the tire) and chain guard has some issues between the IKON shock and the 530 chain!!! Little details that take a lot of time and energy!

....and of course I do not have the right brackets for the SS pipes.

Philippe

Gives me the tingles on all the slightly off beat color scheme and Z plates.
What is the front mud guard from. I like the metal brace highlighting the composite fender. Best wishes on quick first start up and no freaking road fates.

Hobot: the fender is metal, painted, from CNW. Does not work with a 19" K81 (do not ask!) but perfect with an Avon! Rear fender is stock SS painted too.
Philippe

Don't know if this'll help, but when I put my cnw fender on I found there is a small bit of play. You can hold it where you want while tightening the nuts to even out the tire-fender gap a little.
