factory open exhaust on sale

I think you said the muffler to chain clearance is improved also.

Hello FE do the swingarm spools clear also with the Thiel shorties ?

I didn’t have them fitted Tony, so I honestly cannot say.

I was simply saying they are normal Hattech pipes of course with the obvious relevant adaptations to the bike (mounting brackets, attaches and so on).
For especially developed for Norton or whatever else I mean normally something more, but this in not a criticism.
Just to say Termignoni for Ducati were especially developed

I do not see that so bad quality in Norton Open, could be esthetically appreciated or not but are well welded and shaped, sure much better that South Bay imho. Concerning Hattech they are not especially developed for Norton Commando, have a look to their site you can buy the same as universal use, but ok look good also to me , simply they are not currently available to Thiel Motorsport
Your humble opinion is well received, however, there are no weld marks detectable on the SBN. They are machined beautifully, sound great and I've had no problems with them. The short Nortons made in house sent to me had sloppy welds and even a pin hole at the weld before the baffle. I'm sure that would not have sounded great. From what I have seen, the company making the Norton pipes (forgot the name) before Norton took over produced much higher quality.

The Thiel are spectacular looking. Best I've seen so far.

Pa Norton would be turning in his grave with your bastardisation of this black (occasionally silver or red) beauty! Those with even a modicum of taste would know that open longs are the only pipes that match the heritage of this iconic machine! You should all sell your bikes immediately and buy a Thaiumph!!! ;). Just saying!

I reckon Pa Norton might see air cooled, pushrods, two valves per cylinder and wonder what century he'd woken up in!! (Just saying :) )
