Ever seen a NorImp?

It could be worse

Ever seen a NorImp?

ahem... i have build a few specials in my day and as for the why, because i could and becouse i liked a challenge
i tried to fit a NSU car engine in a featherbed , even machined a sump for it a la GILERA , but never sorted it and it ended up in a racing outfit.
Now even after more than 10 years we haven't sorted it out fully , drysumping etc , so i would not slag those (ugly)contraptions of , because they 're .......different .
But quite a few are nice .In holland there used to be a competition called KONING ZELFBOUW , (king build it yourself ) and some amezing creations came out of that.
and i remember seeing HALF of a Hillman Imp in a BSA frame and half of an NSU builmd into a racebike , and those were lookers

Mini engined bsa combo unit with reverse, pulled up outside the Chinese takeaway one night in my drunken youth. Thought it was the beer when he reversed out, but no! Warwick in the 70's.

I saw a bike, don’t know what frame it had at Donington Park with would you believe TWO Hillman Imp engines in it, actually the two imp engines run side by side: it's got two crankshafts, and yes – it was a solo!!!

•There was a twin Imp engined motorbike shown at the Derby National Weekend.

The ugliest engine I have seen is a Honda VTR1000 (superhawk) fitted in a trike , The owner boasted no one could identify it , I could as I have been willed one . A very fast bike with loads of pull. 150 mph, about 100 faster than feels comfy!!. Its got to go before my licence does.
