Ever seen a NorImp?

Why build that? An abomination..... Stake, rope, faggots, torches.....

The designer of the Imp engine Leo Kuzmicki worked with Joe Craig on the Manx, enough of a connection IMHO. Any car engine is going to look butt ugly in a motorcycle.

I know someone who put an Austin 1100 engine and gearbox complete with hand change in a BSA A10 frame ...it looked even worse than that Limp.

You gotta ask... why...?
back in the early seventies, and you wanted a challenge, of a reliable , smoother engine ( compared to Tritons etc) an Imp being mainly ally, at least fitted..... and was available at reasonable cost etc.

Hi everybody,

well maybe it‘s the only survivor.

there used to be a club circuit in a disused quarry at Longridge near Preston, England.

it was a half mile more or less oval with a hairpin at each end a chicane in one straight and poor poor Surface.

Once nearly 50 years ago (so memories not that sharp) I saw an Imp Norton Racing there in the wet. A real shed. He did not do so well. A standard CB125 single was good on that day picked up more than one pot. Thrashed without mercy, no weight, no Power, no brakes and no fear.

Ah the good old days.

Have a good day,

Martin

Hillman imp engines look even better running a fire pump!!
