I have got a CR 961 2012 and recently installed a new style EURO3 module. I think newer bikes (US market?) do not have this part.
EURO3 module

For comparison here is a pic of the OEM part:
EURO3 module

Does anybody have one of those parts connected to the ECU of his bike?

The US, Number one user of fossil fuels and its emissions :| , usually gets these environmental compliance devices a little later. On a high note...a 17 year old inexperienced rider can buy a 200HP Aprilia if he's got the bucks.

Hi Raphi , The module does not look familiar to me. We do have a tilt sensor though under the front of the fuse /relay box , at the back of and under the seat .

The same tilt switch is connected to the 6 pin (3 used) connector of the EURO3 part (old and new). I have the old Omex ECU. May be the newer ECUs have this module directly integrated then.
My understanding is that the EURO3 module is connected to stand, neutral and tilt sensor and controls the shut off of the engine...
May be I am wrong about this.

You're correct , the wording 'EURO 3' on your old box has no relevance to emissions.

If your bike runs okay, I see no need to change. BTW, I think this part definitely won't fit on the MKII.
