Maybe not a big thing to you guys but it is to me.... I've been laid up after a bad dose of food poisoning for a week and almost completely mended, so.... The 850 which has been running flawlessly for months on end comes out tomorrow to partake of this beautiful weather we've been blessed with as of late. I really need this to get myself sorted after a week of being housebound and physically incapable of all except broth and some crackers.
I'll be thinking of you folks in the high latitudes who cannot take yours out and those of you in lockdown countries also. May God bless all and clear weather and disease from your path so you may feel the road beneath you again.

Yup enjoy your improved well being , the weather and your ride !

I have been pain too and laid up all week. Damaged my already bad back badly building and lifting the bsa engine into a crate. Get well guys.

I take it you were doing something other than that which you should have been doing GP..... Have had an air cast before and it provided too much temptation, so doc caught me and made one of plaster... Game over. Heal quickly and well.

I just received the 'neck injections' on 12/22 so I could ride the old crate, but weather and waiting for the injections to do their thing have stranded me on the GL 1000 because of the faring.... We all know only a Norton provides proper healing therapy.... I don't care what model it is either. This is a well known fact too.

First at-fault accident in 47 years as a licensed rider.

I just BARELY clipped a lady's rear bumper at about 10-15 MPH. That's all it took, turned my foot to the 2:00 position, broken fibula and torn tendon.

Yes, I've been hobbling about "business as usual" (except slower), sometimes leaving the crutch in the truck...

Jerry , a sore back is a Terrible affliction hard to have any fun ,take care and go easy ... time seems only way to ease this issue up , hope you back at it soonest !

Yes it’s a mess. When I was in my teens I hit a car that was reversing out of a driveway. I was doing about 70 on my commando and it broke my back, so been living with it for a while. 40 years. I try to manage it, but sometimes the obsession takes over and I bugger it up again. Gradually getting better though and can walk today... thanks for the concern... should be back to normal soon. I am not one to rest, so it sucks

was feeling much better this morning, then I had a sneeze attack

That sucks mate, get well soon.

Jerry I know what you go through, my dad broke his back building hard wood house back in the 50/60s I was only very young then, he spent 18 months strapped to a bed and another 18 months in a full body cast from neck to knees with only a number one and number two hole, but he never complained, all through the rest of his life he never complained even when I knew he was in pain, he was a solid built man but a quiet man with little words, tough old bugger (he was a stoker in the Merchant Navy during the war) he never did go back to building houses, but he worked hard and drank hard as they did in them days till he retired, but he never complained about the pain he went through.
So to everyone who has injuries, hope you all recover soon with little pain, but sometimes that can't be helped.

Ashley
