I’ve ordered the improving classic bike wiring harness for the charging side with the madass oil light sensor kit. My question is has an anyone tried to wire in an engine cut out switch so when the low oil light start to flash it will shut the engine down. I can foresee see at idle with low revs and hot oil the light may flicker causing engine shut down. What your views on this type of set up could it work or as above or shut engine down at idle. I suppose I could keep the revs up or blip throttle at lights ect.

I grew up with British American and European bikes since the 70’s. My Sons inheriting this bike just trying to make it more reliable and bulletproof for our younger generation. I’ve also done some upgrades with suspension brakes etc would hate to see him tbone a car because of 50 year old wooden brake. If he not happy a can put all back to stock as all the parts go with it.

You’d be building in an extra breakdown.
Just for interest though, how would the engine start?

To stop your patent low pressure engine stopper stopping the engine? Please return to the real world.

All good reasons not to own a dangerous and unreliable vintage Commando.

The red light at traffic lights here in NZ means stop. So does the bloody red light on motor vehicle. I do know of idiots that drive their machines to destruction, but who cares about them.
