Dummy axle '73 750

Hi all , I just received a new rear brake drum /sprocket from Andover and I'm wondering how much play should I have between the hole in the drum and the dummy axle ? I probably have about 1/16-1/8 inch of movement with just setting the dummy axle into the drum . Should it be a tight fit such as thousands of an inch ?

No, it wobbles a bit. Carry on.

You could end up adding more, with the nut on that side loose you press down on the brake pedal and the brakeplate moves to centralise the shoes and you then tighten the nut. Adding extra clearance to the hole allows the brakeplate to move more and be more likely to get the shoes fully centralised.
