    I’m done with Norton.
SG said you’re able to get one here in the states, but when? Where? And at what cost.

That’s odd that the bracket broke. That’s a ton of vibrations to cause that.

You need to ditch those old mirror mounts and get these.

Yeah but the problem is, when will the bikes be delivered?
I’m not interested in laying down a large hefty deposit and never knowing when the bike will arrive.

The deposit may only be $500.

No disrespect, but I would find that hard to believe.

Deposits are usually determined by the dealer. If you have a decent relationship with a dealer they may allow a low deposit, and if you sign a deposit contract worded with refund terms after a certain timeframe, there is little at risk. YMMV

I saw or read here (maybe FE) that the Superlight was 19k pounds . Well , thats going to make it a 30k usd when said and done. Thats just the standard model . Its going to be "up there" for the carbon supercharge . My commando was cheaper by almost half. My common sense tells me to hold back at the moment and I am a strong supporter of Norton.

The base price for the base model here in the U.K. is £19,950, so it’s certainly not a cheap motorcycle.

I think you’d have to be bonkers to put a deposit down in the USA until it is known you’ll get good dealer support etc.

We don’t know how much the SS version will be yet, my guess is around the £30,000 mark...

I’m going to the NEC show on Monday so will find out more then I hope, regarding the price, and also the weight...

The blower and extra cooling etc will add weight and cost. Too much of either of those and there’s no advantage over the V4. Let’s hope that’s not the case...

It’s odd that the aluminum bracket broke. The reservoir is fluid filled and remote mounted with a hose separating it. The fluid and hose should act as a vibration damper.

He also posted that a new global distributor network would be in place latter half of this year, that was in response to a query from 'down under'.

I have a feeling the dealer had knocked the bracket at some point and weakened that area when they bent it back. But it snapped one day while riding. That photo is quite old and the old mirror mounts are gone now!

That’s if I go, I may have to delay to another day due to a work issue. Won’t know until late today.

If they can supply me one with a Rotary engine..
    That might be worth having!
I need a bike with a more elevated riding position..
    Not that I’m old but.

Well, therein lies another failed promise... SGs Norton was gonna build a super light high BHP rotary remember? That one was stillborn.

All of your problems are solved and desires met here sir... and only for a mere £25k...
