Domi Naked major service and upgrades

Hey Scott
Yes those are the mirrors! perfect for the bike! I have a black set on my Bobber, they were made by Motogadget around 2017 which would have been about the time the bikes got delivered. Unobtainium now.

So you got them from Norton direct? I wonder if they have anymore.

Yup rear lights got a hairline crack so its due, I have only ever seen that light on the Norton?

Mines sprung a bit hard for myself so wanted to try a softer fork and shock spring,

I'll try to call the Factory. I might get lucky

Thanks mate

Actually your mirrors are the same design as the gadgets, but yours/Nortons are slightly different. Damn, I'm gonna spend months looking for them now....haha

Firstly welcome to the group - buying my 2017 961CR has given me a whole load of fun. With the experiences of the members of this forum you should be able to get that lovely bike into a very useable state.

Your maintenance list looks good and FWIW my suggestions of areas for attention are;

If you are looking at the battery there have been a few reports of the battery/ tank support breaking. Take a look and maybe reinforce.
I had my gearbox sprocket retaining nut unscrew after the weak tab washer fell apart. Make a stronger one. Cheap fix to save the cost of a gearbox/ reconstructive surgery.
INSPECT THE CLUTCH the springs can fall apart and the rivets come apart. See other threads on the subject. I upgraded the plates to EBC cork-free.
It seems common for the bushes in the rockers to bind onto the rocker shafts and rotate in the rockers. Ollie at Thiel Motorsport in Germany does an upgrade for around £400.
Wire lock everything you can. After a fast 120mile ride I had to visit a hardware store to replace the nuts and bolts which fell off.
An ester based oil in the engine and an ester gearbox oil. I used Bel-Ray.
Work out in gym so those clip-ons are comfortable! We don't want another bike molested by having a set of ape-hanger bars fitted ;)
Send for Lewis Leathers catalogue.

Best wishes Clive

Hello Chaps
Quick one, When turn the igniton on everything is good but my headlight and rear light dont come on once started.
Fuse is good so its more than likely the relay sticking?
To save me a bit of time anyone know which relay it is and location on the Domi's?
I keep reading about Honda replacement relays?
Thanks Adrian

Adrian, Honda / Omron relays listed on the parts list thread. They have been known to shake loose from their sockets. Maybe also have a look that the battery connections, as it's recently been seen that Norton crimp the two +ve powers cables into one terminal, which causes issues when the current demand increases, as they are not secure.

Thanks m8, Just saw the parts thread, great idea!

Under the tank are 2 relays. Mine did the same. One of the wires that go into the blue relays was not pushed on all the way. Not surprising since your bike and my bike are the sister Domi Nakeds one vin number apart lol.

Hey Scott, thanks, will have a look at it this week, simple fix's are always good!

Hi Chaps
Was just about to pull the tank to check headlight relay, realised I will have fuel pump disconnected and have to turn Ign key on to diagnose, presume this will register a fault code in box? if so how do I clear a code?
I dont have any software or leads for this bike over here.
I guess I could make up a jumper cable from the bike to the tank on the workshop bench so it reads the pump?
Out of curiosity how would I clear a MIL light?
