Does anyone know the cam follower tunnel bore size?

I'm restoring an MK3 and the cam followers are heavily scored on the sides.

I'm going to go to a +.020 set, but +.020 of what?

The cam follower tunnel bore is not specified in any manual I have, and the few mentions of it on here seem to be somewhat in contradiciton.

Anyone have the actual spec for the cam follower tunnel bore?

Or, conversely, does anyone know the clearance spec of the follower to tunnel wall?

To further the available info, here's what Keith at Andover told me:

"The size for the barrel tunnel bore needs to have the following size-

measure the outside diameter of the pair of tappets fitted together (should be around 1.205” to 1.206” for + .020” tappets)
the barrel bore diameter needs to be 0.0005”-0.0025” larger than the measured tappet diameter."
