Agreed, I do not advocate blind faith/reckless abandon..If you are a weekend warrior or timid/need a testosterone shot, you still take chances simply by riding.I know it is important to maintain an edge of situational awareness by regular application of skills, & sure, - there are rare situations that are randomly disasterous, but root cause analysis tends to validate being switched on & presenting that way to others in your frame of reference..
