That looks like "The Swindler" built by Redmax speedshop, one of the guy's there paid up for a 961 but got fed up of waiting for it to arrive, Garner refunded just before it got to court. The shop bought a 2nd hand Yellow 961 and turned it into "The Swindler" in honour of Mr Garner. That's how I believe the story went

Sorry, that doesn't do it for me... Ive wondered what a satin black one would look like with a curvy exhaust like a Guzzi Griso, but that's about as far as Ive thought about a custom 961.

The problem with customizing a 961 is that the Dreer styling of the standard bikes is perfection. Change it and most likely the new bike won't look right. So far that seems to be the case with all of the modified bikes, the mods detract from the styling of the original.

I agree although I am a big fan of the Domiracer and Dominator. But if they came first we would all be saying that the 961 fixed their flaws!

I agree. Although I don't hate it, the styling of the 961 is perfect already.

I like the rims and the exhaust. The rear cowl is meh. Don't love the way it flattens out all the way back. The tanks are a little generic. Again. Don't hate it, would probably love riding it. Like the orig. better.

Actually, it’s not all that bad from a scrambler point of view.
Not crazy about the shape of the tank, or the single disc up front, or the sharp 180 degree bend in the exhaust, but it might give some ideas to the Norton folks.
Push the seat back a bit, mount an aluminum classic fastback tank, heat shields on the exhaust (for the rider), high fender on the front forks, and another disk on the front.
Call it the GSS, Norton’s GS adventure bike model. Second S will be for swindler.
