The spineless Republicans won't speak against him as it would signal the end of their despicable political party.[/QUOTE]

For the senators who made impeachment a matter of partisan loyalty
rather than a question of the rule of law, yes I can see how interest overrides such niceties as Trump tweeting against a witness as she was giving evidence ! Truly shocking .

But what of the American public, many of whom are going to die from covid. One thinks of Thomas Carlyle ' the public so many millions mostly fools'

JP , was great chronicler of his times , was a fan and will remain one .... too bad he gone early ....

Coronavirus

Sanders does not mention his friendly neighbour to the North , I guess he does not like what Canada is doing even though his suggestions list most of what our Federal and Provinces have put together in less than a month , not everything on his list, of course but a lot of it .... sure hope they figure out a way to help the common folks down there , makes me happy I’m where I’m at and sad for our friends and family in USA .... thanks for posting Glen !

Not only cannot rely on Trump, his whole administration is dysfunctional. Two weeks since the stimulus bill passed, still no money. I’m not in a bind, but some are really hurting. No job, no money.

Now the mystery of why the US has such a shortage of ppe is unveiled. Huge exports of N95 masks and other ppe was being sold to other countries in January and February. Once again, the Trump administration has failed the citizenry miserably. Surely, anyone with a modicum of sense would have stopped US companies from selling ppe to foreign countries.

I don’t think it would be improbable to see a Trump commercial entity, if not Jared Kushner, profiting from this pandemic. Both Trump and Kushner lack the morals that would have them serve their country rather than line their pockets.

Has Trump picked a Toadie to dole out Covid-19 checks? I could see his son-in-law standing out on the street in a mask handing out shiny new dimes to the huddled masses like john D. Rockefeller.

Regardless of all the Toadie failures associated with this debacle, the biggest failure was the failure to act in the first place instead of treating this like another political attack via Trump's enemies.

To my mind, everyone who contracts the virus and everyone who dies from it in the last two months before a vaccine is perfected are squarely on Trump's shoulders because that's how long it took reality to sink in and overrule the science deniers and flat-earthers he identifies with.

Do not forget, he could not have done any of this without the full backing of the Republican party at all levels of government. They are ALL guilty. Vote them out.

“Bloodless Coup” Might be possible , does not seem as any in White House at this time have a spine , surprised they actually can stand straight , playing follow the leader like lemmings right off nearest cliff

Regarding companies selling ppe for export, 3M was recently told not to send N95 masks to Canada. While this may sound like a good move, it was yet another knee jerk reaction to give the impression of being deceive. There was no notice given to Canada this was happening, so that left a big hole and mad scramble to save lives here. Canada correctly pointed out to US officials that there are many examples of health related equipement and services flowing both directions across the border. There are thousands of Canadian health workers that cross into Detroit to work in hospitals daily. 3M is one of the biggest mask suppliers globally, with sites in several countries. To shut down one site from exporting to certain countries just means they switch source to their other production sites.
After several days of much stress, Trump says he made a deal with 3M and they can carry on as before. No idea what deal was done. Whole thing just feels like showboating, he creates a crisis, solves it and takes a victory lap.

Trump is either the hero or the victim, often both at the same time.

He is never wrong, and never ever makes mistakes. He displays every attribute of a poor leader.

How many politicians display the attributes of a good leader ? If they had them they would not be politicians. Popularity is more important.

Looks like Navarro gets his come-uppence for his cheerleading of Hydroxychlroquine:

Let's agree to disagree on your first point.

To some extent popularity is the cornerstone of Democracy.
