Copying posts to "social" websites

This is a question about the forum and I couldn't think where else to put it. Does this forum copy all posts automatically to either Facebook or Twitter?

I've been a member of a forum originally set up as a place for residents and ex-pats from my old home town in England to chat. In a recent update, the forum administrator decided, without any consultation, to add links that automatically copy every post made on the forum to both Twitter and Facebook. I and several other long-time contributors to that forum have withdrawn our membership, as we feel that the community spirit of the forum has been shattered.

I hope this forum doesn't cross-post, but I'd like to know for sure.

Not that I'm aware of?

It doesn't. Everything here is searchable by Google and other search engines but that's a good thing.

I'm very pleased to have it confirmed that we don't cross post. If I want (very unlikely) to post anything on Facebook or Twitter, I'll do it myself.

I and about a dozen other long-time members of the other group got into quite a donnybrook with the forum administrator. He thinks cross-posting is a good thing that exposes the group to a wider audience. If we could figure out how to "un-register", the group would be down several of its major contributors.

Interesting, I just went to a wedding in Canada where I was one of the truly old folks. The kids had pulled pictures from everyone's Facbook pages for the place markers but they had to use Sean Connery for me. It seems we now have the same haircut.

Sean Connery is not bad, just be glad it wasn't Fred Willard.
