Hi everyone,
My Commando is still positive ground with VERY basic wiring, juice only to trispark and head and tail lights.
I am running a Boyer Power Box and CNW's single coil dual lead set up.

I am drooling over Colorado Norton Works single electronic tach, says on the web site it requires negative ground.

So what is required in parts, technical know how, to convert to negative ground?

God what a load of beautiful stuff CNW has, am also breathing hard over their complete front disc brake set up!

1up,

Try this:

Takes a few hours. If you don't have a Mk3, ignore the bit about the starter solonoid. You will be left with "red-wire" ambiguity. Most, but not all, red wires will be at negative ground. The red wires associated with EIs and regulators, along with new negative-ground components that you add, will be at +12v. You'll need, at least, a revised schematic and wire tags to mark the "hot" red wires. If you have the courage to rewire (I built a new positive-ground harness two years ago and can't face doing it again soon), adopt the convention: red = +12v, black = ground, white = switched +12v, and you will remove any polarity ambiguity. All other wires can retain their original color code, if you choose.
